NANAIMO, B.C. – The Nanaimo Clippers are excited to announce the return of forward
Samuel Boisvert from Mirabel, Quebec.
Boisvert previously played 53 games for the Clippers during the 2023–24 season and
13 games in 2024–25 before joining the Baie-Comeau Drakkar of the QMJHL, where he
made an immediate impact — recording 31 points (13 goals, 18 assists) in 38 games.
The 2005-born forward has also committed to the University of Connecticut (NCAA
Division I) for the 2026–27 season.
“We’re thrilled to have Sam back in a Clippers uniform,” said Head Coach and GM Colin
Birkas. “He’s a player with great character, a strong work ethic, and the ability to impact
the game in all areas. We expect him to be a high-impact player and a leader on and off
the ice.”
Boisvert expressed his excitement about returning to Nanaimo:
“I’m really happy to be back with the Clippers. I had a great experience here
before, and I’m excited to be part of this group again and help the team win.”
The Nanaimo Clippers are off to the BCHL Showcase before road trips to Prince
George and Powell River. The Clippers’ faithful can welcome Boisvert back to the Frank
Crane on October 31st vs Victoria.
