NANAIMO, B.C. — The Nanaimo Clippers have announced a trade with the Langley Rivermen, acquiring 2007-born forward Finn Kallay & Future Considerations in exchange for the rights to Makaio Van Tassel.
Kayllay, a skilled young forward, split last season between the Victoria Grizzlies and the Vernon Vipers, appearing in 37 games with Victoria and 15 games with Vernon. Known for his skating ability, and competitiveness, Kallay adds youth and upside to the Clippers’ forward group as he continues to develop within the BCHL.
“We’re excited to welcome Finn to Nanaimo,” said Colin Birkas, Head Coach of the Nanaimo Clippers. “He’s a smart player who skates very well. We believe he’ll fit in well with our group and will be a long time Clipper.”
The Clippers thank Makaio Van Tassel for his time and wish him success moving forward with the Langley Rivermen organization.
