Equipment Manager

Nanaimo Clippers | British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL)
Location: Nanaimo, BC

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain all team equipment for practices, games, and travel.
• Organize and manage the dressing room to professional standards.
• Wash, dry, repair, and maintain player uniforms and equipment.
• Monitor equipment inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
• Coordinate equipment loading and unloading for road trips.
• Set up dressing rooms for home and away games.
• Assist coaching staff with practice and game-day preparations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized equipment room.
• Ensure all league equipment standards and team protocols are met.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a hockey equipment manager is preferred (Junior, College, U18, or similar level).
• Strong knowledge of hockey equipment and skate sharpening.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Positive attitude with a team-first mentality.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be able to lift and transport equipment.
• Valid driver's licence is considered an asset.

Schedule

This position requires flexibility, including:

• Evenings and weekends
• Home and away games
• Team practices
• Travel throughout the BCHL season
