Description:
Prime’ Performance & Therapy AND the Nanaimo Clippers Jr'A' Hockey Club is seeking a Certified Athletic Therapist to join our team! If you're passionate about helping athletes and clients recover, prevent injuries, and achieve their health goals, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- September to March : 9:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday as the Nanaimo Clippers head Athletic Therapist (+) availability to work at the Prime' Clinic after 3:30pm
- Provide comprehensive patient care by assessing and treating athletic injuries and conditions.
- Utilize medical terminology to document patient progress and treatment plans accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care.
- Manage case files and maintain organized records using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital settings to enhance patient outcomes.
- Employ time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Qualifications:
1+ years of clinical experience in athletic therapy
- 2+ years of field based athletic therapy coverage
- Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)) designation
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Therapy/Kinesiology (or equivalent)
- Registrant with the Canadian Athletic Therapist’s Association, in good standing
- Professional Liability Insurance coverage
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with fitness assessments and program development is an asset
- Additional certifications will be considered a plus

Front Desk & Community Coordinator
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Community Coordinator who will be the face of our organization at the front desk and play a key role in community engagement and business development. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and has a knack for building relationships.

Front Desk & Administrative Duties
- Greet and assist visitors, fans, and partners in a professional and friendly manner
- Manage phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries
- Assist with ticket sales, merchandise, and game-day inquiries
- Maintain a tidy and welcoming front office area
- Provide administrative support to the operations team as needed

Community Engagement Duties
- Develop and coordinate community outreach programs and events
- Represent the Clippers at local events, schools, and partner locations
- Build relationships with local organizations, schools, and non-profits
- Help organize mascot appearances, player visits, and charity initiatives
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Outgoing, enthusiastic, and confident in representing a brand
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, or community outreach is a plus
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with basic CRM tools
- Passion for sports and familiarity with hockey culture is an asset
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, especially during home games and events
