Clippers sign Luke Lisko for 2022-2023 Season

Clippers have signed Luke Lisko, a 2004 born centre from Michigan State, for the 2022-2023 season. Lisko was part of the elite level Little Caesars minor hockey program out of Detroit, Michigan. In 106 games in his last two seasons with the program, Lisko scored 31 goals adding 42 assists for 72 points. In the 2021-2022 season, Lisko moved to the Selects Academy U18 program out of South Kent School in Connecticut, the same program that produced last season’s standout, Nick DeSantis. Lisko has produced 11 goals and 18 assists in the first 43 games of the season. His impressive play has resulted in Lisko seeing games with the US National U18 team and in the USHL.

Head Coach Darren Naylor offered; “Whenever you can get a player that is part of the US National Development Program, you jump on it. Luke is a good sized centre with a nose for net. He is a clever player and skates well. Although he is coming out of the US, he is also a Canadian so he will not impact our import spots. I see Luko as a 2-year guy for us before he heads off to the NCAA.”

Associate Coach Colin Birkas added; “Luke Lisko had a lot of interest from other BCHL teams and the USHL given his upside potential. He already has numerous NCAA programs reaching out to commit him as his stock raised significantly after getting into the US Development Program. The Clippers have had previous success with players out of South Kent as that program does a great job of developing players for success in junior hockey and beyond. We see big things for Luke in the BCHL.”
