CLIPPERS BACK IN THE WIN COLUMN WITH 4-3 WIN OVER EXPRESS

NANAIMO — The Clippers four game losing streak is over thanks to a 4-3 win over the Express on Saturday.
New goaltender Taz Burman was sharp in the first period and that seemed to give the rest of the Clippers a boost heading into the second.
Jamie Collins scored in the opening minute, then Brady Lynn converted from the side of the net, and Tristan Crozier gave Nanaimo a 3-0 lead on a close in power play goal.
Clay Stevenson replaced starter Reid Cooper after the third goal, as it appeared Cooper may have suffered an injury in a collision during Collins early period tally.
The Express chipped away in the third with a power play marker by Christian Sanda.
Max Crozier put Nanaimo up 4-1 with his first BCHL goal, and it would end up being the winner.
Aiden Wagner and Eric Linell added late goals to give the Clippers a scare but they held on for the victory.
The shots on goal were 35-27 for Nanaimo with the power plays finishing 1/3 for the Clippers and the Express going 1/4.
