Bob Beatty Returning

The Nanaimo Clippers are pleased to announce that Associate Coach Bob Beatty will again be behind the bench for the 2022-2023 season.

Beatty joined the Clippers in February of last season and was on the bench for 10 wins, 4 losses and 2 OT losses as the Clippers finished the season in 3rd place of the BCHL Coastal Conference.

The team then went on to win 12 games straight in the playoffs to win the Coastal Conference Championship, before bowing out to the Penticton Vees in the BCHL Final.

“I’m grateful to Brad Kwong to give me the opportunity to come back to Nanaimo. Last year was a rewarding experience. It was a treat coming to the rink every day to work with Colin, Kelly, Liffty, Bob (Foglietta), Gary, Robb and Isabella,” remarked Beatty.

He further stated, “The group of players we had to work with was outstanding. I know we have great leadership returning and a talented group of veterans and additions.

I’m excited to get on the ice and look forward to an outstanding season!”
