Nail biter ends in a Clippers win

The Nanaimo Clippers in front of a sold out crowd and 80+ Clipper Alumni put on a show beating the Alberni Valley Bulldogs 3-2 scoring with only 11 seconds to go.

Jackson Doucet would open the scoring in the first period at 15:59 on the powerplay assisted by Austin Spiridakis and Josh Zary which would end up being the lone goal in the period.

The Clippers unloaded in the second period scoring three unanswered goals first at 1:28 by Liam Ryan on the powerplay, followed by a goal by MacKenzie Merriman and at 17:41 by Josh Kagan. The Bulldogs would get within one goal at 18:23 by Dawson Tritt.

Early into the third period the Bulldogs would tie it up with Dawson Tritt’s second goal of the night but with 11 seconds to go Josh Bourne would score to win the game 3-2.
