Clippers edge Vipers 3-2

The Clippers went into Vernon on Friday night not having won in that building in ten years however that all changed as they were able to edge the Vipers 3-2.

Matt Kowalski caught a sleeping Nanaimo Clippers early into the game to give the Vipers the 1-0 lead within the first minute

The Clippers would retaliate 24 seconds later by Liam Ryan to get the game tied up which was followed by a Josh Kagan goal to give them the lead

Josh Kagan would net his second of the game in the second period assisted by Josh Bourne, the lone goal in the period to give the Clippers the 3-1 advantage.

In the middle of the third the Vipers would get within one on a power play goal but it wasn’t enough as the Clippers would hold off for the 3-2 victory.

The Clippers have two more games on their road trip Saturday against Chilliwack and Sunday against Surrey.
