May 8th Game Day Preview

Clippers are against the Cowichan Valley Capitals when they face-off against them at 7 p.m. tonight.

Associate Coach Colin Birkas’ comment for tonight’s game is, “Message is enjoy your teammates.  Have fun. We have been through a lot together. That’s what it’s all about heading into our final two games”

Forward #21 Tristan Frazier’s thoughts on tonight’s game. “I think with Cowichan the main thing we need to do is attack them with speed. They have some bigger D men that like to play physical, so I think if we play a fast game, supporting guys all over the Ice, the game will come to us a lot easier than If we’re trying to force things.”

“I don’t think there is anyone particular to watch out for, I think their team is well balanced in that regard. They seem to play their top two or three lines pretty evenly. They just play well as a team, supporting each other and doing the right things.

#16 Brody Waters commented. “2nd game in a back to back, we know they are gonna bring it. Hoping we can capitalize like we did last night and finish the year strong against Cowichan.

Teammates celebrate defenceman #8 Brendan Carlson’s first BCHL goal.

The Clippers final game of the season is Tuesday, May 11th against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs at 7 p.m.
