Latest addition fills the Clippers roster

The Nanaimo Clippers are excited to announce the latest signing for the 2022-23 season. Tyler Wishart comes to Nanaimo from Kimball Union Academy where he put up 53 points in 33 games.  

Colin Birkas Head Coach and General Manager had this to say on the latest signing, “Tyler has produced everywhere he has played, he’s very dynamic and smart with the puck, an area we felt we could improve in. I expect him to come in and contribute right away”  

Tyler is committed to Cornell, a school that has four former Clippers on the roster.

About the Nanaimo Clippers
The Nanaimo Clippers are a Junior “A” hockey team based in Nanaimo, British Columbia and one of 18 member clubs of the BCHL. Founded in 1972 the team is entering its 51st season. Playing out of the Frank Crane Arena, with a seating capacity of 2,400, the Clippers are defending BCHL Coastal Conference champions. The franchise has won the Fred Page Cup five times, most recently in 2007. Over 250 Clippers players have earned NCAA Division 1 scholarships and 26 alumni have played in the National Hockey League.
