The Nanaimo Clippers are hiring for the position of Office Assistant with bookkeeping duties and a Sales and Marketing position.

Office Assistant/Bookkeeping

We are looking for an energetic person who can multi-task and has basic accounting abilities.  You will be greeting customers and selling products at the office and also handling the customer experience in the box office on game days.

  • Posting bookkeeping entries for day-to-day activities
  • Day-to-day operation of the Clippers office for ticket sales, souvenir sales, phone calls, visitors, etc.
  • Game Day box office cash control
  • Social media posts for the team on Facebook and Twitter
  • Website updates
  • Ticket system maintenance
  • Assist marketing team with promotional material, contracts and contract deliverables

Training will be provided for all tasks.  The successful candidate needs to have the right attitude towards learning and basic computer skills with spreadsheets, word documents and publisher.

 

Sales and Marketing

Our team will be focusing on sell-out games for this season and we need someone with sales experience to groups and individuals to market and sell our ticket packages.  There will be a team of marketers to work with for ideas and knowledge so being a team player is a must.

  • Database build for groups in our area
  • Phone sales to establish relationships
  • Sales meetings to groups
  • Marketing and promotional material design
  • Game Day entertainment booking
  • Game Day assistance to Game Day Coordinator
  • Radio and Newspaper advertising campaigns

The successful candidate should have some marketing and/or sales experience.  Training will be provided on the Ultimate Toolkit Sales strategies.
