Dylan Kinch Commits to Long Island University

GM Colin Birkas is pleased to announce that, “Forward #28 Dylan Kinch has committed to Long Island University in New York, for the 2025-2026 season”.

Kinch was recently acquired in a trade for Willyam Gendron from the Chilliwack Chiefs. So far this season Kinch has been in 35 games, scoring 9 goals, 16 assists and had 14 penalty minutes.

Dylan had this to say on his commitment, “I’m extremely excited and grateful to announce my commitment to play Division 1 college hockey and further my education at Long Island University. The relationships I have built with the coaching staff and the opportunity to be able to join a program that is heading in a great direction made the decision a no-brainer. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. I am looking forward to starting this next chapter in my life.”

Long Island University is an independent ice hockey team in NCAA Division 1. The Sharks play out of the Norwell Health Center in Brookville, NY.
