Important Announcement: New Ticket Pricing Policy for Enhanced Fan Experience
Dear Nanaimo Clippers Fans,
At the Nanaimo Clippers, we are committed to creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all of our valued fans. In our ongoing efforts to provide a family-friendly atmosphere during our games, we are introducing a new ticket pricing policy, effective September 29th, 2023.
What's Changing?
Starting September 29th, 2023, unaccompanied youth purchasing tickets from our box office will be charged the full adult ticket price. This change is in response to the costs associated with additional security measures required to address disruptive and unsafe behavior by unaccompanied youth during our games.
Youth Attending with Parents or Guardians
We understand the importance of family fun, and we want to continue to be a destination for families in our community. Youth attending games with a parent or guardian will still be eligible for the youth ticket price discount. We value our role in the community as a provider of family entertainment, and we are excited to welcome families to our games.
Why the Change?
We have always aimed to ensure that everyone's experience at our games is exceptional. Unfortunately, we have encountered instances of disruptive behaviour from unaccompanied youth that impact the enjoyment of other fans. By adjusting our ticket pricing, we aim to recover the expenses related to enhanced security measures and, more importantly, encourage a more respectful and family-friendly environment.
How Does This Help?
The revenue generated from this policy change will directly support the costs of bolstered security measures, including the presence of additional staff and security personnel. We believe that this adjustment will serve as a deterrent to disruptive behaviour and create a more harmonious game day experience for fans of all ages.
