This role is for an individual interested in coaching, statistics, and/or skill development. The successful candidate should have some experience coaching but may be working at any level from minor hockey to junior/college and wish to gain experience with video coaching. The video coach is asked to attend every Nanaimo Clippers home game at Frank Crane Arena and operate a laptop (provided) with video coaching software, tagging goals/turnovers/powerplays/penalties and other statistics during the play. Between periods the video coach will help the Clippers coaching staff and players as needed with video reviews.
The successful candidate should:
– have excellent communication skills
– have a high attention to detail
– experience working with Steva software would be an asset but not mandatory.
