CLIPPERS FALL TO WILD 10-3 IN WENATCHEE

The Clippers went up against the best home ice team in the BCHL, and like a lot of teams couldn’t take home the two points.

The Wenatchee Wild are a league best 18-3-0-1 in their own building after beating Nanaimo 10-3 at the Town Toyota Centre on Saturday.

The Wild scored two quick goals on Clippers AP goalie Jordan Naylor before Jeremy Gervais notched his first goal in the BCHL.

Wenatchee scored again to take a 3-1 lead to the dressing room after one.

Max Crozier beat Seth Eisele on a Clipper power play in the second period to cut the lead to one, but that sparked a run by the Wild that would lead to an 8-2 lead at the intermission.

Noah Featherstonhaugh Gowe came in to close the game out for the Clippers in the third period and Preston Brodziak notched his sixth goal of the season on a well placed tip in.

Still the Wild outscored Nanaimo 2-1 in the third to skate away with a 10-3 win.

Wenatchee had the shots on goal advantage at 37-29 and both teams had a power play goal with the opportunities on the man advantage 5-4 in favour of the Clippers.
