Clippers beat Penticton Vees 4-1

Story from Nanaimo News Now:

A complete 60 minute game describes the Clippers road victory over the Vees on Saturday.

The Clippers scored a goal in the first period, another in the second, and two in the third en route to a 4-1 win.

Travis Walton scored two shorthanded goals, Liam Ryan tallied at even strength, and Ethan Scardina connected on the power play to provide Nanaimo’s offense.

A late shorthanded goal by the Vees Lukas Sillinger was the only blemish on first star Jordan Naylor’s record.

He stopped 28 of 29 shots while lowering his league leading goals against average to 1.41.

The Clippers scored four times on 19 shots on the Vees Yaniv Perets.

Nanaimo has wins in eight of their last nine games and as of Oct. 19 the Clippers are one point out of first place in the Island Division.
