Clippers beat Grizzlies 5-3

In front of 2,107 fans at Frank Crane Arena the Nanaimo Clippers put on a show beating the Victoria Grizzlies 5-3.

During the first period both teams were kept off the scoreboard, however in the second Nanaimo scored three unanswered goals first on a penalty shot Liam Ryan would net his third of the year. Second goal was scored by Tyler Williams along with the Clippers third goal also scored by Tyler Williams on the powerplay. Cody Monds of the Grizzlies would get them on the board before the end of the second.

In the third period both teams would trade goals, first Nanaimo’s Travis Walton, followed by two Victoria goals and with 50 seconds to go Josh Bourne would score to make it 5-3.

The Clippers and Grizzlies are both back in action tomorrow night in Victoria at The Q Centre.
