Clippers Back in the Win Column Against Westside

Nanaimo's three game losing streak is over after a 6-4 win in Westside.

The Clippers opened the scoring on a power play point shot from Josh Bryan at 15:45 of the first.

But midway through the second Westside turned the game around with two goals a minute and one second apart by Ben Betker and Devon Hascarl.

Andrew Gladiuk knotted the score at two when he banged home a rebound at 19:03 and the game was level after two.

The Clippers went out in front 4-2 with two goals in nine seconds early in the the third.

David Iacono poked in a power play goal at 4:38 and then Andrew Gladiuk stole a puck from Warriors goalie Dwayne Rodrigue and buried a backhander at 4:47.

Westside got within one at 7:30 with a power play blast from Izaak Berglund setting the stage for a frantic last minute.

First Andrew Gladiuk was awarded a goal when being tripped going for an empty netter at 18:57, then Dru Morrison narrowed the gap to 5-4 with 30 seconds left.

But Kyle Kramer sealed the win with his empty netter with 14 seconds to go.
 
Billy Faust got the win after a 30 save performance, and Rodrigue took the loss with 33 stops.
 
Nanaimo went 3/9 on the power play while Westside was 1/8.
