The Nanaimo Clippers have acquired forward, Rémi Gélinas, from the Powell River Kings in exchange for future considerations.
Rémi Gélinas started the 2023-2024 season with the Hawkesberry Hawks of the CCHL. Where he played in 24 games, scoring 16 goals, 18 assists and having 24 minutes in penalties. He then came to the Powell River Kings where in 14 games he had 3 goals, 1 assist and 16 minutes in penalties.
Coach Colin Birkas commented on the trade, "He’s a player we have liked in the past. We were going to bring him in next season but he made the jump to BCHL this season with Powell River Kings. He will add depth down the stretch and has the potential to be a very good player in the league.”
Rémi will be wearing #11 and the Nanaimo fans' first chance to see him at The Frank, is on Friday, Feb. 16th against the Langley Rivermen.
