It was a back and forth game between the Nanaimo Clippers and the West Kelowna Warriors on Saturday evening at the Royal LePage Arena where the Clippers would manage to sneak away with the 4-3 win in overtime.
The Clippers would draw blood first by Josh Bourne at 7:24 but the Warriors would retaliate shortly after to tie things up by John Evans. The Warriors would get the lead before the end of the first period by Max Bulawak.
In the second period the Clippers would be the lone team to score tying things up at 11:18 on the powerplay by Tim Washe, followed by the go ahead goal by Trevor LeDonne at 14:25 to head into the dressing room up 3-2.
Warriors would put the pressure on in the third period scoring on the powerplay by Tyler Cristall at 10:15 which would be the lone goal in the third period, sending the game to overtime.
In overtime Captain Ethan Scardina on the wing would sneak one past Warriors netminder Johnny Derrick to take the game 4-3.
The Clippers end their road trip Sunday in Coquitlam against the Express
