CLIPPERS BEAT GRIZZLIES 2-1 IN OT

NANAIMO — Three games and three wins for the Clippers in their exhibition season.
Wednesday night it took double overtime for Nanaimo to beat the Victoria Grizzlies 2-1 at Frank Crane Arena.
Fans got their first look at recently acquired goaltender Noah Featherstonhaugh Gowe.
He played half of the game and stopped all 14 shots he faced.
Jake Harris had the only goal through the first 40 minutes.
On a Clippers power play the veteran forward was sent in alone on goalie Jonah Capriotti and beat him with a low shot.
Jacson Alexander tied the game for the Grizzlies in the late going of the third period with a point shot that fooled netminder Conor Klaers.
Nanaimo picked up a power play in the three on three overtime and as that man advantage came to an end Jack MacNab fed Tristan Crozier for the game winner.
The Clippers have now beaten Alberni Valley 4-1, Cowichan Valley 5-3, and Victoria to start their exhibition schedule with games Friday at home to the Capitals and Saturday on the road versus the Grizzlies.
Septemer 8th, Nanaimo opens the regular season at home against the Bulldogs.
