Isabella Kortbeek appointed to Marketing/Sales

The Nanaimo Clippers are excited to announce the hiring of Isabella Kortbeek in the Marketing/Sales role with the team.

The Clippers would like to welcome Kortbeek to the team and look forward to the direction she will help give the club. Her leadership in community engagement and marketing strategy for the team will be instrumental in welcoming back fans to watching the Clippers in person this fall.

Kortbeek brings a strong community connection to the Clippers franchise, having most recently worked in the development of campVIU with Vancouver Island University (VIU) where she took a leading role in program creation and COVID policy and implementation for the 2020 and 2021 season. VIU has recognized Kortbeek’s ability to see the need for recreation and sport in the Nanaimo community especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Kortbeek’s role with the VIU also extended to Mariners varsity game day operations and the VIU Mariners Hockey team fundraising and community engagement.

“Community engagement and fan experience is a top priority for us as we welcome our fans back to home ice after such a long break” said Clippers Director of Business Operations Robb Hunter. “We are delighted to be able to secure the services of Isabella Kortbeek. Her connection with community groups across the City of Nanaimo provides us with considerable confidence and a sense of togetherness after such a long period apart. We eagerly welcome her to the Clippers organization.”

Throughout the 2021-22 season the Clippers will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the organization. Puck drops on the 50th anniversary campaign on October 15th with the Home Opener Presented by Panago. Golden Anniversary season tickets are on sale now at ticket.nanaimoclippers.com
