Opening Roster

Well, enough talk…let’s get to the real business, our opening roster!

Forwards:

# 3 – Tyler Williams – All Clipper fans will know that name. He was out of exhibition play due to an injury, but he’s ready to get things going again this year. Tyler is committed to play for Lake Superior University following this season.
# 7 – Ethan Scardina – Although he will miss tonight’s game, Ethan is expected to be among the top scorers of the Clippers. This season he will also wear the C on the jersey, representing the Clippers as Captain.
# 11 – Travis Walton – Walton, comes to us from the WHL, standing at 6 foot 5, 201 pounds, he stands his own and isn’t pushed around easy. A natural leader on and off the ice.
# 13 – Thomas Samuelsen – Returning for his second season, fans can appreciate Thomas’ work ethic as one of the hardest working guys on the ice. As a veteran player he will be expected to help lead his teammates.
# 15- MacKenzie Merriman – MacKenzie won’t see the ice for a little while as he is recovering from surgery from an injury last year, but I know the coaching staff can’t wait for his return as he will fit in the lineup just right.
# 16 – Cade Cavallini – A newer face to the Clippers, but man oh man, watch his shot. Cade will have one of the best shots in our league and fans will notice is right away.
# 17 – Sean Donaldson – Sean comes to the Clippers after winning the BCHL and Doyle Cup last season with the Spruce Kings; he is expected to have a big year.
# 18 – Kyler Kovich – Heading into his second year in the BCHL, with still only being an 2002 born player, Kyler will put up the points like most 19/20 year olds would.
# 19 – Joshua Bourne – Well, who is ready to see Josh’s stick skills again this year? He is one of the players fans love to watch game in and game out.
# 20 – Scott Mahovlich – Don’t think there will be many BCHL Players who will go toe to toe with Scott. He is going to be one of the toughest players out there, protecting his teammates. He comes to us from the WHL.
# 21 – Connor Wetsch – One thing you will notice about Connor this year is his size. As a second year, 2002 born player this season he is expected to take a big step.
# 22 – Time Washe – Tim who comes from Detroit, Michigan and is committed to school already is expected fit in the lineup really well.
# 24 – Zack Dallazanna – Entering into his second year playing for the Clippers, Zack is hungry and ready to prove himself that he can compete every shift.
# 28 – Liam Ryan – We acquired Liam from the Surrey Eagles in an offseason trade. Liam is expected to bring some experience and hockey IQ to our team.

Defence:

# 2 – Mike Kennedy – Mike was recruited in the offseason, and although not a big guy is one of the smartest guys out there, fans will notice that right away.
# 4 – Liam Visram – In his first full year as a Clipper, Liam will be expected to jump right in and contribute.
# 10 – Robby Drazner – The fans are already taking about Robby, and the big steps he’s taken since last season. Expect a big year from him.
# 27 – Trevor LeDonne – Trevor is a guy not many other guys will push around, he is a tough defenceman who protects his teammates first. Big recruit in the offseason for Coach Naylor.
# 29 – Aiden Hansen-Bukata – Fans will know that name, a fun defenceman to watch who knows what to do and when to do it.
# 53 – Jack O’Brien – Last season Jack AP’ed his maximum 5 games he was allowed and is expected to contribute a lot as a 2003 born player. Many are saying he could be drafted one day.
# 77 – Devon Mussio – Entering into his fourth year in the BCHL, he is one of the smartest players on the ice. One thing you notice this year with Devon is he’s bulked up and is expected to be a force to reckon with.

Goaltenders:

# 30 – Blake Wood – Blake, who is a local Nanaimo boy had a rough go last year with various teams, but this year he is expected to come in strong, with a ton of offseason preparation and work.
# 35 – Zachary Bennett – Zachary was a late trade made due to an injured goaltender, however his numbers he put up last season were incredible and is expected to post those type of numbers in the BCHL.
# 51 – Jordan Naylor – Although Jordan is injured right now, once he returns he is expected to have a big season between the pipes.

Well fans…who is ready for Clipper hockey!!
