Cooper Black invited to Flames camp

The Nanaimo Clippers are pleased to announce that goaltender Cooper Black has been invited to the Calgary Flames Development Camp.

Cooper, who is set to attend Dartmouth University this fall, backstopped the Clippers to a Coastal Conference Championship this season. During which he recorded three shutouts in three straight games. In the playoffs, he had a 2.20 goals-against average and a 0.937 save percentage.

In 33 regular-season games, the Alpena, Michigan native recorded 24 wins and had only 7 losses. In doing so he recorded a 2.62 goals-against average and a 0.924 save percentage.

GM/Head Coach Colin Birkas remarked, “We are very excited for Cooper Black – he garnered a lot of interest down the stretch run and into the playoffs. This is a good experience for Cooper Black but is also good for our program as we continue to get our players to the next level.”
