Fans help us support Loaves & Fishes
In March 2012, over 4000 people in the mid-Island area received help from theLoaves and Fishes Community Food Bank.
In support of “Hunger Awareness Week”,The Nanaimo Clippers invitehockey fanswho are coming to the 2012 Spring Campto bring a non-perishablefood donation for Loaves and Fishes.
"Ours being a winter sport we often focus on our Christmas food drive, of which our fans are generous supporters. When we heard of the current need to support our local food bank, we couldn't think of a better opportunity than our upcoming Spring Camp." said Jen Kennedy, Clippers Director of Sales and Marketing.
The camp is being held at the Nanaimo Ice CenterFriday May 11 and Saturday May 12. A collection box from Loaves & Fishes will be located in the NIC lobby.
