Clippers sign Alex Morozoff

The Clippers have made a groundbreaking acquisition with the signing of veteran WHL forward, Alex Morozoff. Alex hails from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and is a 2001 born 6 foot 190 pound power forward who can score. He spent four years in the WHL accumulating 172 games while putting up 27 goals and 18 assists for 45 points. His last stint was with the Saskatoon Blades in the shortened 2020-21 season.

Darren Naylor, Head Coach and GM, offered his views on Morozoff; “Alex is a player that once we knew he would be available, we pursued him with vigor. In speaking with his former coaches and managers they all confirmed Alex is a great pick-up for our team and will excel in the BCHL. He is a smart skilled player that will provide offense and be a key component to the Clippers’ power play. When called on, he will be able to defend against the other teams’ high-end skilled players as he has strong defensive tendencies. We are also looking for Alex to be one of our leaders on the team this year.”

Wes Mussio, Owner and President of the Clippers added; “We are very excited to bring Alex into our program. In the past, we’ve brought in 20-year-old WHL players and they’ve always been very impactful to our program adding leadership, grit and compete along with some scoring. It’s critical that we have the maximum of two 20-year-old WHL players on our team each year because without a doubt, these players are part of the fabric needed to win a championship. I’m confident that Alex will excel at the BCHL level and be one of the top players in the entire league this coming season.”
