In front of over 1,100 fans on a Sunday afternoon the Nanaimo Clippers blanked the Vernon Vipers 5-0 to earn them first place in the Island Division.
In the first period the Clippers scored three unassisted goals first at 5:08 from Kyler Kovich assisted by Ethan Scardina and Trevor LeDonne, second not long after by Travis Walton assisted by Liam Ryan and Scott Mahovlich.
At 17:10 Cade Cavallini would score his first BCHL Goal assisted by Zack Dallazanna and Aiden Hansen-Bukata.
No team could get on the board in the second period, but in the third the Clippers would add two more goals in front of the home crowd first by Captain Ethan Scardina assisted by Aiden Hansen-Bukata on the powerplay and the second by Steven Agriogianis assisted by Robby Drazner and Tim Washe to take the game 5-0.
Zach Bennett stopped all 24 shots in he faced earning himself first star of the game.
