It’s fitting that the Nanaimo Clippers shutout the Victoria Grizzlies 4-0 tonight which gives them their fourth win in a row on a very special night as the guys were playing for the late Dick Earle.
Zack Dallazanna would kicks things off first at 6:51 scoring his first BCHL Goal assisted by Robby Drazner and Trevor LeDonne. Josh Bourne would add one on the powerplay not long after assisted by Ethan Scardina and Devon Mussio.
Before the end of the first period the Clippers would score another powerplay goal by Kyler Kovich assisted by Aiden Hansen-Bukata.
The scoreboard was left empty in the second period as neither team could get on it, however in the third Kyler Kovich would net his second assisted by Aiden Hansen-Bukata to give the Clippers the 4-0 lead and take the game.
Zach Bennett stopped all 38 shots he faced and was named the games first star.
Up next for the Clippers is the Alberni Valley Bulldogs when they visit Frank Crane Arena on Wednesday for Matt Irwin Night.
