A Busy Deadline Day Lands Clippers Three

The Nanaimo Clippers completed a three way deal Tuesday, in which they received the playing rights of (91) F Clayton Chessa. Chessa was moved by The Trail Smoke Eaters to The Vernon Vipers for future considerations. Vernon in turn traded Chessa to Nanaimo for the playing rights of (91) F Colton Cyr.

In addition to the acquisition of Clayton Chessa, Clippers traded the playing rights of (92) Teal Burns, recently released from the WHL Everett Silvertips, to the Powell River Kings in exchange for the rights of  Nanaimo Minor Hockey product (92) F Brenden Forbes, and  Spencerport, NY native (92) D Taylor Carmola.

Clippers final deal of the day saw Defenseman Zach Ovics traded to the Dawson Creek Rage of the NAHL for future considerations.

The entire Clippers organization would like to thank Colton for his contribution to our club and welcome Clayton, Brenden and Taylor to the Clipper Family.
