Clippers beat Rivermen 4-3 in overtime

The Nanaimo Clippers certainly put on a show for the 2,100+ at Frank Crane Arena on Friday night by beating the Langley Rivermen in overtime 4-3.

No one got on the board in the first period however in the second period five goals in total were scored, three from Nanaimo and two from Langley.  Liam Ryan would score all three of Nanaimo’s goals, two on the powerplay and one five on five.

The Rivermen would tie things up late in the third period by Matthew Hubbarde which would send the game to overtime.

Early into the overtime Steven Agriogianis would score the game winner assisted by Aiden Hansen-Bukata and Robby Drazner.

The Clippers will rest up tonight and focus on Cowichan Valley tomorrow.
