Congratulations Sheldon!!

The Nanaimo Clippers would like to congratulate 2015-16 leading scorer and team MVP Sheldon Rempal on being invited to two NHL Development Camps.

Rempal is attending the Anaheim Ducks camp between June 29th and July 3rd and then will immediately depart for the Calgary Flames camp July 4th through the 7th.  Clippers coach Mike Vandekamp says, “Our entire organization is thrilled that Sheldon is getting these pro opportunities. It is a testament to his dedication and hard work both on and off the ice.”

Rempal will still attend Clarkson University in the fall, but he will now do so with the experience of these NHL camps under his belt.  The 20 year old played three seasons in Nanaimo and had 213 points in 167 games.  He also netted 39 points in 42 playoff games.  His 110 point season was good for second overall in the BCHL, and his 60 goals were the most in the league.

Sheldon was also recognized this past February as the Male Team Athlete of the Year at the Nanaimo Sport Achievement Awards.
