Tyler Williams commits to Lake Superior State University

Nanaimo, BC – The Nanaimo Clippers are pleased to announce that rookie scoring leader, Tyler Williams, has officially committed to Lake Superior State University for the 2020-2021 Season.

“This is great news for Tyler, he took big strides this season to become a dominant player in our league” commented Clippers Head Coach, Darren Naylor “We are also excited that Tyler has decided to return to the Clippers. He is a fan favorite and will be a huge piece to our team.”

Williams, who lead all rookies in scoring on the Clippers last year, got 55 points, 14 goals and 40 assist, in 53 games. He finished one point behind Ethan Scarina, another returning player, who led the Clippers in points last season.

“I am excited to be going to Lake Superior State University”  said Tyler Williams “I love how they play a high tempo game as it fits my style and the coaching staff were great. Couldn’t be happier right now.”

Williams will join the rest of his teammates August 19th when the Nanaimo Clippers Main Camp begins.
