This Friday, December 8th, the Nanaimo Clippers will be holding their annual Teddy Bear Toss at their home game against the Powell River Kings at 7 p.m. Fans are asked to bring a stuffed animal (preferably in a plastic bag) to the game.

When the Clippers score their first goal, fans get to toss their stuffed animals onto the ice. The Clippers’ players and volunteers will then collect the stuffed animals and they will be given to the Great Nanaimo Toy Drive.

The Great Nanaimo Toy Drive will be providing gifts, books and games to over 1400 children this year. Once again they ask Nanaimo to help bring a little happiness to children from newborn to age 16.

will have stuffed animals for sale at the game for $5.
$3 from these sales will be donated to the Great Nanaimo Toy Drive.

Plastic bags will also be available.
