The Nanaimo Clippers have a rich history dating back to 1972 where a lot of great moments have occurred whether it be big goals, big games, championships, heroic finishes or off-ice happenings.
Every Saturday we will share a new ‘Special Moment Saturday’ on our Social Media Accounts.
We are going to start our Special Moment Saturday’s off with our first inductees into our Wall of Honour.
This past season the Wall of Honour was unveiled where both Matt Irwin and John Newberry were inducted.
The Wall of Honour was created to showcase former players who wore the Clipper crest with pride, passion and dignity.
Keeping with our Special Moment Saturday’s we go back when the Clippers had not one, not two but three Fitzgerald’s on the team.
Myles, Gerry and Leo, the Fitzgerald Triplets were incredible to watch together. Although they weren’t in a Clipper jersey long they stayed in the BCHL for four years.
