Reverse Teddy Bear Toss for the Great Nanaimo Toy Drive

NANAIMO, BC (December 10th, 2020) – The Nanaimo Clippers are excited to announce an important local partnership.

The Clippers are thrilled to launch a “Reverse Teddy Bear Toss”! The Clippers organization has supported The Great Nanaimo Toy Drive in previous seasons by holding an annual Teddy Bear Toss game where stuffed animals were collected and donated.  However, the 38th season of The Great Nanaimo Toy Drive has had to look very different because of COVID-19.

The Great Nanaimo Toy Drive, which hopes to support 1200 children this year, could not accept stuffed animals that would have been donated in a traditional sense and the Clippers could not hold the beloved Teddy Bear Toss Game.

With the support of The Great Nanaimo Toy Drive, the Clippers have developed a plan where fans can donate a Keel the Seal stuffed animal to The Great Nanaimo Toy Drive.  Fans can visit nanaimoclippersmerch.com to buy a Keel the Seal which will then be shipped directly to The Great Nanaimo Toy Drive from the manufacturer ensuring they remain contactless and therefore meet the COVID precautions taken by The Great Nanaimo Toy Drive.  Fans also have the option of buying two Keel the Seal’s, one to donate and one for themselves.
