New assistant coach comes onboard

Nanaimo Clippers announce Tyler Gow as the club’s newest assistant coach. Tyler is from Nanaimo and is a Clippers’ alum who played over 150 games in the BCHL before going to St. Norbert of the NCAA.

Head Coach and General Manager Colin Birkas says of the recent hire “Tyler is a hard-working man from a good family, his passion for our team and his background make this a great fit for us. Character and integrity are very important to the Clippers and those around the city know that these attributes are very abundant in Coach Gow. This is a good step for our program as we work towards increasing our community presence in the years to come”

The Clippers open camp for the 2022-23 season this weekend with ice times starting Friday night at 5:00 at Cliff McNabb Arena. The annual Rhodsie Cup will be Sunday night at 6:00 pm at the Nanaimo Ice Center. Fans will have a chance to see the players, new assistant coach Tyler Gow, and the rest of the coaching staff as ice times throughout the weekend are open to the public.
