NANAIMO, BC – The Nanaimo Clippers are pleased to announce the signing of 2006-born Swiss forward Lenny Giger for the 2026–27 season.
The 19-year-old joins the Clippers after spending the 2025–26 season with the Sioux City Musketeers of the United States Hockey League (USHL), recording four goals and 10 assists in 43 games.
Before coming to North America, Giger played in Sweden with Rögle BK’s highly regarded junior program. During the 2024–25 season, he recorded 16 goals and 29 points in 44 games with Rögle BK J20.
The Zug, Switzerland native has also represented his country at several international levels, including the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.
“Lenny is a smart, skilled player who has played for a top Swedish program and gained valuable experience in the USHL,” said Clippers Head Coach and General Manager Colin Birkas. “He has international experience, a nose for the net and will be a fun player for our fans to watch.”
