MELARAGNI PLAYS HERO IN 4-3 OT WIN IN ALBERNI VALLEY

The Clippers have built up a four game winning streak thanks to a 4-3 overtime win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on Wednesday.

Nanaimo got off to a great start with goals by Parker Colley on the power play and Tristan Crozier.

A late power play marker by the Bulldogs Cole Poliziani cut the lead to 2-1 after 20 minutes.

Mitchell Oliver scored the only goal of the second on a five on three power play to even the score heading into the third period.

Cole Poliziani tallied early in the final period to give the Bulldogs a lead that would last into the final minute.

With the Clippers skating six on five, and goaltender Taz Burman pulled, Jake Harris scored the tying goal with under minute left.

The goal was also his second OT winner against the Dogs this year.

The final shots ended up 38-37 for Nanaimo with the Clippers going 1/3 on the man advantage and 2/4 on the penalty kill.
