May 5th Game Day Preview

It’s the last time against the Victoria Grizzlies when the Clippers face-off against them at 1 p.m. today.

Associate coach Colin Birkas remarked on today’s game, “Homestretch. As much as we love being back, health has become a factor and are trying to keep it positive as the season winds down.”

On the final game against Victoria defenceman, #53 Jack O’Brien commented, “Ending the season series with Victoria on a high note will be a good accomplishment for us. As well as that, it would be nice personally for a few guys. I’m sure the graduating players want to finish their junior careers with a few wins and the rest of the team owes it to them. They have been nothing short of amazing for the whole season and it’s the least we could do.”

As well as that, Neitsch draws back in. He has put in so much work and allowed us to get better throughout this year. Battling hard tonight and getting him his first win will be a goal for all of us this afternoon.

The Clippers next action is Friday, May 7th against the Cowichan Valley Capitals at 7 p.m.
