The Clippers have five out of six points in their last three games after getting a point in a 4-3 OT loss to Trail and earning a 2-1 over the Cowichan Valley Capitals on the road.

Friday’s game against the Smoke Eaters was extremely entertaining with Trail building up a 3-1 lead and Nanaimo coming back to force overtime.

Trail won the game in three on three but the way the Clippers fought back to earn the single point was a motivating factor for the players.

On Sunday against Cowichan Valley the Clippers won 2-1 in a tight game that featured only four total power plays.

This week Nanaimo hosts Cowichan on Wednesday at Frank Crane Arena.

It will be the third game of the season series with the Clippers taking the first two on the road.

Friday Powell River visits Frank Crane Arena for the fourth game of that island series.

The Kings have a 2-1 lead, but Nanaimo is coming off a 4-0 shutout win in Powell River on October 28.

Saturday the Clippers head to Alberni Valley for their fourth games versus the Bulldogs.

Nanaimo has a 2-1 edge in the season series to date.

After Sunday’s action the Clippers have completed the first third of the BCHL season with a 9-9-1-1 record.

They sit in third place in the Island Division standings heading in to Week 10.

Nanaimo is three points behind the second place Grizzlies with a game in hand.
