Nanaimo, BC – [November 18th] — The Nanaimo Clippers have traded defenseman Matson Waring to the Surrey Eagles in exchange for the playing rights to forward Dru Mushumski.
Waring, a 2007-born right-shot defenseman, appeared in 16 games with the Clippers this season. The organization thanks Matson for his commitment and contributions during his time in Nanaimo and wishes him the best as he continues his hockey career with the Surrey Eagles.
“Matson is a young defenseman who showed steady growth throughout his time with our organization,” said Clippers Head Coach and General Manager Colin Birkas. “We appreciate the effort and professionalism he brought to the Clippers and wish him continued success. Dru will not be joining our team at this time but we are happy to acquire an asset in Dru’s playing rights while providing Matson with a fresh opportunity.”
