Clippers take on the Cowichan Valley Capitals

Today the Clippers are the away team and take on their old arch rival the Cowichan Valley Capitals at 5 pm in Weyerhaeuser Arena.

Your Clippers hope to continue their winning ways after a come from behind 4-3 win over the Victoria Grizzlies in last night’s game at Weyerhaeuser.

In that game goaltender #51 Jordan Naylor picked up a third star after turning away 42 shots.

In the 2020 Extended Exhibition Season Nanaimo won both games they played against the Capitals. In the last five years Nanaimo has a record of 19 wins, 6 loses and one overtime lose against Cowican.

Associate coach Colin Birkas remarked that it was nice to be back playing. Also, nice getting to know our group in a more competitive environment. He said it would take some time to get our systems up and running.
