CLIPPERS ROAD TRIP ENDS WITH 4-1 LOSS IN WEST KELOWNA

WEST KELOWNA — Quality chances and large stretches of strong play didn’t yield enough offense for the Clippers on Sunday.
Nanaimo lost 4-1 to the Warriors at Royal Lepage Place.
The only Clipper goal came 45 seconds into the game when Jake Harris ripped a shot high into the net from the right wing.
In the second period West Kelowna changed the game with two goals in 13 seconds.
Michael Ryan scored on a shot from the blueline, and then Jake Harrison put a shot behind Noah Featherstonhaugh Gowe from the left side.
After that Nanaimo had some great chances but couldn’t beat goalie Cole Demers.
In the third period Stephen Kleysen and then Parm Dhaliwal added goals to hand the Clippers their fourth straight loss.
The shots on goal were 39-36 for the Warriors and each team had three power plays, with West Kelowna scoring once.
