Clippers partner with Island Savings to launch Kids Club

Nanaimo, BC – The Nanaimo Clippers Junior A Hockey Club in partnership with Island Savings, a division of First West Credit Union, have launched a Kid Clubs for the upcoming season for kids aged 5 to 12.

“A lot of kids in our community look up to our players as their idols and we wanted to create a program that got our players in the community to meet the kids, while giving an experience to our little fans that they won’t forget,” said Tali Campbell, Director of Business for the Clippers. “A big thanks to Island Savings, who will be partnering all season long to help put on more events for the children in Kids Club, involving our Hockey Club.”

The Clippers Kids Club comes with a ton of perks for the kids such as a t-shirt, exclusive kids club lanyard, free Clippers ticket and a dressing room and bus tour with Nanaimo Clipper Players, to list only a few.

“Our philosophy is community and working together,” says Jenna Sutherland, branch manager with Island Savings. “The Clippers have a rich history in Nanaimo and we’re excited to be partnering with them to put smiles on kids’ faces.”

Registration is now open for the Clippers Kids Club, which you can do on the Nanaimo Clippers website under the Community Tab; the cost for the season is only $25. Registration will close on September 5th.
