The Nanaimo Clippers Junior A Hockey Club, in partnership with Island Daily Deals, has launched a ‘Pay it Forward’ Campaign to support Essential Workers.
“We are asking fans to donate $10, which will be used to purchase a $10 gift card from a local business and give it to an Essential Worker to say thanks.” said Tali Campbell, Nanaimo Clippers general manager “Everyone who donates will also receive a free Nanaimo Clippers ticket voucher as our thanks to them.”
All of the Gift Cards will be purchased on Friday and given out to Essential Workers who are nominated through the Nanaimo Clippers. According to Campbell, “We want our fans to nominate their favorite essential workers who are helping out whether it be in health care, grocery store worker, truck driver, etc. We want to honour them all.”
“We are big supporters of the Nanaimo Clippers and our local community so we knew we wanted to step forward and help right away,” commented Qing He, General Manager of Island Daily Deals.
