The Nanaimo Clippers Hockey Club in partnership with The Sign Zone, the official Sign Company of the Nanaimo Clippers, are offering a special lawn sign opportunity for the Graduating Class of 2020.
“We are working with the City of Nanaimo to display personalized grad signs on the lawn of Beban Park for a one week span in June.” commented Tali Campbell, Clippers general manager “We want everyone in Nanaimo to be able to drive-by and see all the grads signs, maybe honk while passing by. Just a little token to show our appreciation for their hardwork to acheive this goal.”
The Nanaimo Clippers noted that with Privacy Laws in place School District 68 cannot provide names and pictures of the graduating students. “This program is self driven, we will need parents and students to submit details to us so we can make sure they get a lawn sign up.”
The cost per sign is $20, double-sided. Families will need to pay $10 while the Clippers and The Sign Zone will cover the other $10. Following the week-long sign campaign, graduating students can keep their sign.
“We know this is not ideal and not what they want right now. All they want is to be able to celebrate the way they deserve but unfortunately we can’t right now. We hope this unique way will bring a few smiles to their faces.” Campbell said.
