CLIPPERS GRIND OUT 4-2 ROAD WIN IN COWICHAN

The Clippers have built up a seven game winning streak, tied for the second longest streak in the BCHL this year.

Nanaimo beat Cowichan Valley 4-2 on Wednesday for their seventh straight win over the Capitals this season.

Despite the six goals both goalies, Michael Corson, and the Clippers Taz Burman were very sharp.

The Clippers outshot the Caps 44-35 in the game.

In the first period the game remained scoreless with Cowichan playing an energized game despite having only 15 skaters.

Nanaimo got their game going in the second with Jeremy Gervais and a power play marker from Tristan Crozier putting the Clippers up 2-0.

Caleb Franklin cut into the lead before Lucas Vanroboys gave the Clippers a 3-1 advantage late in the frame.

Azzaro Tinling put a scare into the Clippers when he scored in the third period and Nanaimo had to hang on until an empty netter from Jake Harris sealed the victory.

Nanaimo put in a very disciplined performance in only giving up two power plays.

The Clippers themselves went 1/6 on the man advantage.
