Clippers defeat the Powell River Kings for the second game in a row.

#15 Dylan Kinch celebrates scoring Nanaimo's third goal with his linemates. In the two games against Powell River this weekend, Dylan scored four goals and had four assists.

Despite a long travel day, the Nanaimo Clippers returned from Powell River with a 7-2 victory. The Clippers, who also beat Powell River 7-1 at home on Friday night, came back gaining four points on the King.

Samuel Boisvert opened the scoring unassisted at 13:13 of the first period when a Powell River player passed the puck out from behind the Kings net. With 2:42 left in the first period, Chazz Nixon made a great glove save on a shot from the slot.\

Shots on goal in the first period were 13-9 in Powell River's favour.

The Kings would tie the score at 2:32 of the second when Nixon partially stopped a shot only to have it dribble across the goal line. Luke Lavery had a great opportunity to tie the game at 4:00 but was unable to wrap the puck around the Kings' goalkeeper. On the power play, #28 Garin Ludwig made the score 2-1 for the Clippers with a shot from the top of the slot at 11:34 of the second. He was assisted by #29 Samuel Boisvert and #21 Connor Haynes.

Then, at 12:10 of the second, Dylan Kinch assisted by #28 Garin Ludwig and #3 Nathan Larioza made the score 3-1 Clippers on their third power play. Then, 33 seconds later, Elliot Perreault scored to make it 4-1 Clippers, assisted by #8 Makaio Van Tassel and #27 Carson Lesiuk#64 Chase Hull would then make the score 5-1 with 1:31 left in the second. He was assisted by #15 Dylan KInch and #29 Samuel Boisvert.

With around seven minutes left in the second period, there was an ice problem at one end of the rink. They were not able to fix it quickly so they decided to resurface the ice and add the time onto the third period. They still were not able to repair the ice so the game was switched to the ice surface.

At 18:29 of the second #64 Chase Hull scored Nanaimo's  5th goal assisted by #15 Dylan Kinch and #29 Samuel Boisvert.

The second period would end with the Clippers outshooting the Kings 21 to 13. For a two-period total of 30 to 26 for the Clippers.

The Kings would score first in the third period at 5:36, making the score 5-2 Clippers. #7 Luke Lavery assisted by #24 Andrew Brown and #15 Dylan Kinch would respond at 9:13 to restore the four-point lead. #7 Luke Lavery would finish the scoring at 14:01 making the final score 7-2. He was assisted by #15 Dylan Kinch and #64 Chase Hull.

In the two games this past weekend #15 Dylan Kinch had four goals and four assists.

Shots on goal for the third period were 14-7 in Nanaimo's favour, for a three-period total of 44 to 33 for Nanaimo.

The three stars were: #15 Dyland Kinch first star, #7 Luke Lavery second star and #29 Samuel Boisvert third star.

The Clippers' next game is at home for a school-day matinee on Wednesday, November 20th, against the Cowichan Valley Capitals at 11 am. They will then go on a two-game road trip with games on Friday, November 22nd in Langley at 7:15 pm. and in Chilliwack on Saturday, November 23rd at 6:00 pm.
