Clippers Acquire Tristan Fraser from the Langley Rivermen

The Nanaimo Clippers have taken a further step to shoring up their top 6 forwards with the acquisition of Tristan Fraser from Langley Rivermen for Tyler Schleppe and future considerations. The 2001 born Fraser is entering his second full year in the BCHL. Last season, in his rookie year, Fraser scored 13 goals and added 21 assists for 34 points in 56 games including 3 power play goals. Previous to the BCHL, Fraser finished off his CSSHL (Hockey Academy League) career with an eye popping 70 points in 34 games including 20 goals in the 2018-2019 season.

Head Coach/GM Darren Naylor noted; “Tristan is a high end talent who will immediately help out on the offensive side of things. Tristan is a hard-working, strong on the puck type player with an elite skill level and hockey IQ. This was a player we really wanted to bring in and when I heard he was available, we jumped at the opportunity.”

Wes Mussio, Owner of the Clippers added; “The one blessing with the Extended Training Camp is you can really test out your roster and adjust the personal more than ever before the Regular Season begins. It comes as no surprise that we have been shopping for an impact type player that can add to our struggling offence and power play. I have watched Tristan since his days at the BWC and West Van Hockey Academies and he definitely will add to our skill level on the front end. We are expecting big things from Tristan and I am confident he will not disappoint.”

The Clippers thank Tyler Schleppe for his time with the team.
