Colin Birkas, Associate Coach, who runs the defence for the Clippers noted; “Gill is a towering 6ft 5 d-man with a physical presence who takes care of his own end first. He is a highly skilled big man with a high hockey IQ who always makes a nice 1st pass. Also, Kabir possess an NHL level shot and has the ability to run a PP. He can help on the PK as well as he was a big part of the Coquitlam Express league leading PK last season.”

Darren Naylor, Head Coach and Vice President of the Clippers, added; “Kabir is a player I am very familiar with having coached him in the past. He was a player we thought about bringing in last season but our d-core was already in place and excelling.  Kabir will bring us experience on the backend and is a very coachable and likeable teammate. Kabir has been developed in a culture of winning from his NSWC Bantam Western Canadian championship team to his Major Midget provincial championship.”
